The Wellplace crisis call
center is a central component of our services. This is where the
employee first contacts the EAP. Wellplace prides itself on insuring
this first contact is personal, professional, and helpful.
Employees have direct and
immediate access to an experienced behavioral health specialist.
When an employee is in crisis, seeking support, referral, or information,
he or she does not want to meander through a complicated and impersonal
maze of telephone auto-attendants and voice mail.
The Wellplace 24 hour toll-free
crisis call center is open 365 days per year. The 24 hour call center
provides the employee direct access to experienced crisis counselors
and clinical support professionals.
The Wellplace crisis call
center staff offer a broad spectrum of services to employees and
family members enrolled in our EAP.
For example,
the Wellplace behavioral health specialists are well versed in:
- Dealing with acute mental health concerns
- Dealing with the complicated individual and family
issues associated with drug & alcohol abuse and addictions
- Working with domestic violence issues and child
abuse
- Managing threats of workplace violence and work
related stress issues
- Suicide intervention and stabilization
Critical incident stress debriefing
- Use and referral to community resources and support
groups
When the Wellplace crisis
counselor refers a caller for a face-to-face session we simply do
not close the case. We follow-up on all cases to confirm the appointment,
assure the referral was helpful, and offer additional support.
Wellplace does not use auto
attendants. You have direct access to experienced crisis counselors
365 days a year!
